Matt Przybysz, CPA — Fayetteville Manager

Matt is a graduate from the University of Memphis and the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, earning a degree at each university. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Memphis with a degree in Psychology. He also graduated from the University of Arkansas Fort Smith with a degree in accounting. Matt is married with two children. In his spare time Matt enjoys cycling and other outdoor activities. Matt provides audit and tax support services. Matt specializes in government and nonprofit auditing as well as individual and business tax consulting. 

 

David Eaton, CPA — Senior Auditor

David graduated from Blackburn College in Carlinville, IL with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Economics. David also attended Northern Illinois University and the College of DuPage. David transplanted from the greater Chicago area. He is married with four children. David enjoys fishing, cooking, reading, bowling, golfing and woodworking.

 

Julie Masters — Senior Tax Specialist

Julie attended the University of Arkansas and graduated in December 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in political science with 144 credit hours. She then went back to school in the summer of 2012 and spring of 2013 to complete her 150 hours to become CPA eligible. She has worked at Daniel R. McCormick, CPA, PA for since October of 1999, primarily working on tax returns, payroll, and bookkeeping. Julie and her husband, Brandon, have one son, Cameron. Julie's hobbies include traveling and spending time with her family.

 

Christan Taylor— Senior Tax Specialist

Christan obtained her bachelor’s degree and a minor degree in Sociology from the University of Arkansas in 2003. She graduated with 144 hours then went back in 2012 to get the remaining hours needed to take the CPA exam. Christan started working for Daniel McCormick in 2001 part time and began working full time in 2003. Her job duties include bookkeeping, payroll, compilation, tax return preparation and contractor’s license reviews. She is married to her husband, Keenan, and her hobbies include bowling, reading, watching football, and traveling.

 

Jacob Ashford — Audit Specialist

Jacob has a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems, Management Accounting option and a minor in Business from the Oregon Institute of Technology. He has worked on audits and attestation services in the NWA area since 2010. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, fishing, simple technological projects, and basic woodworking.

 

Rhonda Hall — Bookkeeper

Rhonda attended Oklahoma Christian University where she studied accounting. She is a bookkeeper and a payroll specialist with experience in many professional fields. Rhonda has over 30 years of bookkeeping experience in privately-owned companies and CPA firms in many states, including Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Alaska.  Rhonda and her husband Kent enjoy spending time with their five grandchildren and watching them play. They also have two standard poodles and one toy poodle who think they run the house.  Rhonda is an avid quilter and she and her husband also enjoy going on long road trips on their Harley motorcycles.

 

 

Serena McWilliams — Senior Tax Specialist

Serena graduated from the University of Maryland, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in Business. Serena has over 10 years of experience in accounting and plans to pass the CPA exam. When she isn’t busy working and studying, she enjoys cooking, traveling, working out, outdoor activities, and spending quality time with her husband, Connor, and their two dachshunds, Schultz and Heidi. Serena specializes in both corporate and individual tax, bookkeeping and payroll, and assists the audit department when needed.

 

James E. Childress, CPA — Senior Tax Specialist and Financial Reporting Specialist

James graduated from the University of Arkansas in January of 1982. He began his career in accounting in January of 1985 and obtained his CPA Certificate in February of 1988. James has over 30 years of public accounting experience and has completed thousands of tax returns, numerous IRS Offers in Compromise and financial statements.  He is skilled in multiple areas of tax, IRS collections and financial reporting, from basic tax returns, to estates and trusts, to ministries and nonprofit organizations. James is particularly adept at the reporting and taxation of construction companies.  He completes numerous financial statements for multiple states Contractor License applications and for submission to bonding companies related to construction projects. When not protecting people from the IRS, doing tax returns or financial statements, James enjoys spending time with his wife of over 30 years, their three daughters and two grandchildren, and playing golf.

 

Heather Mathews — Administrative Assistant

Heather attended the University of Tampa and received an associate’s degree with an emphasis in law. She has been in management for over 20 years, focusing in accounting and finance over the last 9 years. Heather has 3 children: Alexus, Zach and Zoey. In her spare time, she enjoys quality time with her family, traveling, going on new adventures, and making new friends.
